Moth to the Flame

Moth to the flame

Composed by Dexter Hinkson

Moth to the flame

It can be said again and again

But who’s to blame.

You can count the stars above

But still miss the heavens below

What draws this tranquil creature

light and heat that’s it’s mystique

All I know you can’t have one

without the other

Moth and flame, Yin and yang

Romeo and Juliet, sun and moon.

They are destined to meet,

only God can make a bond that keeps

The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree
Composed by Dexter Hinkson
Inspired by MJ’s  giving tree story

Waiting for a sound that is heaven sent.
These words are not for fame or dame
They are for the voiceless and homeless
They are for the crying and the shamed.
